Sense of Initiative and Entrepreneurship audio book

The Sense of Initiative and Entrepreneurship audio book is a 74 minute-long CD with didactic study contents for adults. This is semi-documentary audio recording of the participants of the programme for vulnerable adults with didactic elements added. It encompasses partly authentic statements by adults from the countryside that managed to make big strides towards improving this basic ability through learning and education, and is partly supplemented with expert commentary and explanations.

The personal successful experience motivates the listeners to think about entrepreneurship by becoming emotionally involved in the story.

The audio book is the first such study resource produced by the experts from the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education for the purpose of it serving as a direct study resource for the most vulnerable groups of the population. Individual parts that users can listen to separately have also been prepared.

Marija from the Upper Savinja Valley recounts the story of how she made jams and other home-cooked delicacies and thus realised her wish to have a subsidiary occupation.

A young computer wiz from Gorenjska, Mitja, talks about entrepreneurship and presents an educational personal trial and how he was able to overcome it.

Story of a lady of the house told while baking bread

A lady of the house from a small farm in the Celje region bakes bread according to old recipes and sells it one the market. She amazes others with her creativity and follows her vision.

Explanation of a teacher who teaches the Training for Success in Life (UŽU) programme and stories from programme participants

Story about Ivica who found herself in the role of a student again after 40 years and started living a completely different life. Story about Suzana, an unemployed seamstress with partial disability, and Ema, a teacher who never finished school but had an original idea for an independent business activity.

Virtual classroom with a teacher for adults

The virtual classroom presents the listener with a realistic school of life where adult education teachers teach in a way that is similar to the one described by the protagonists – programme participants.
